Poetry competition

Calderdale Libraries and the Elmet Trust are running a poetry competition. Entries are welcome from everyone, but young people can compete for the Ted Hughes Young Poets' Award.

Readers' groups

Through a network of readers' and bookchat groups, Calderdale readers meet regularly to discuss their latest reads.

Short story competition

Entries are now invited for the 2010 short story competition. The closing date is 26 March and entries will be judged by writer Tiffany Murray and publisher Alan Mahar.
