Courses for the workplace

We offer the following courses tailored to meet your workplace/business needs. These can be delivered on-site or at one of our local centres, and on different days at times to suit you…

Food Safety in Catering

Everyone involved with food has a responsibility for safeguarding the health of consumers. This course will benefit anyone working in an area where food is prepared, cooked and served. On completion the learner will have an understanding of the importance of food safety, know how to control food safety risks (personal safety, food storage, cooking and handling) and have knowledge of the systems, techniques and procedures involved. Most importantly you will have the confidence and expertise to safely deliver quality food to customers. Accredited by CIEH.

Healthier Foods and Special Diets

This new Level 2 Award is an exciting accredited nutrition qualification, developed in response to increased public interest in this area. Consumers have become increasingly aware of the effects of a poor diet and businesses are keen to understand the links between diet and health to meet changing customer demands. Develop an understanding of the relationship between nutrition, diet and health. Realise why different population groups have different nutritional requirements, and get yourself up to date on current policy, legislation and voluntary guidelines.

Emergency First Aid at Work

Every place of work needs someone to act as a first aider in the event of an accident or incident. This course provides the learner with the skills required to be recognised as a first aider within the work place.

Paediatric First Aid

All staff involved in working with children in the Early Years Foundation stage are required to hold a paediatric first aid qualification. It is delivered to the requirements set by both OFSTED and the Paediatric First Aid Association.  We can also deliver accredited Health and Safety and Manual Handling courses on request.
