Sam Morrow
Sam Morrow and his mum Sue attended the 12 week family healthy weight and lifestyles programme in Summer 2009. Sam, then 11years old, lowered his body fat percentage from 49.9 per cent to 40 per cent. At a reunion in March 2010 Sam had further reduced this to 36 per cent. Sam’s Mum Sue lost 2kg in weight on the programme and reduced her waist measurement by 5cm. Sue and Sam continue their healthy lifestyles: Sue has joined the Upbeat exercise referral scheme and Sam has taken up Studio Cycling and Rugby.
Tom Palmer
Tom Palmer did not like reading when he was a child. But his mum encouraged him to read, using football to motivate him. He now writes two football book series for Puffin - Foul Play and Football Academy - and works closely with the National Literacy Trust’s Reading the Game scheme.
Praise for Foul Play:
"Written accessibly and with a light touch, this is the kind of story to appeal to reluctant readers as well as established readers - and their fathers too. The first of a Football Detective series, it scores with the precision of a Ronaldo free kick."
