The grant element is up £3,500 for gas systems and £6,000 for oil fired central heating subject to application and survey. The assistance is available to people in receipt of certain benefits and are owner occupiers or privately rent.
Warm Front £300 heating rebate
If you do not receive a benefit but are over 60 years and are a owner occupier or privately rent you could claim a Warm Front £300 heating rebate towards the cost of repairing or installing a heating system. The £300 heating rebate applies to gas, electric, oil or solid fuel installations and repairs.

Help for private landlords
If your tenant is over 60, receives benefits or if there is ill health in the household, they may qualify for free insulation or heating measures.
The Landlord Energy Savings Allowance allows private landlords access to funds to improve the energy efficiency and Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) rating of a rented property. Access to this scheme is not dependent upon the status of the tenant. Under section 312, Income TAX (Trading and Other Income) Act 2005 (ITTOIA), landlords who pay income tax may claim a deduction. The maximum allowance per property is £1,500 and works can include loft and cavity wall insulation, solid wall insulation, draught proofing, hot water tank insulation and floor insulation. Holiday lets are excluded from this.
Once you have made your alterations and installations complete section 5.36C on the landlord and property section of your income tax return. The amount spent will be off set against your tax.
For specific detailed information visit Landlord's Energy Saving Allowance|
or contact your local tax office on 0845 302 1432.
As well as making your tenant warmer and more comfortable, this work will improve the Energy Performance Certificate|
rating of your property.
