Telephone directories can be recycled via the weekly kerbside collection service.

Just place them in the green plastic sack and put it out by 7am on your collection day.

They can also be recycled at paper banks at the Recycling banks and at any of the Household Waste Recycling Centres.

Tetra PakTetra Pak

From 1st August 2016, Tetra Pak are being recycled via the weekly kerbside collection service.

Just place them in the green plastic sack with paper and thin card items and put it out by 7am on your collection day.

Tetra Pak is no ordinary cardboard. It is specially coated with food quality sealant to enable it to carry liquids. Tetra Pak comes in all shapes and sizes but is best described as cardboard with a waxy / smooth surface. The Tetra Pak packages usually carry liquids like milk, soft drinks, soups, flavoured ices and ice creams.

TextilesTextiles

All clean and dry clothing, even imperfect items can be recycled via the weekly kerbside collection service.

Just place them in a separate plastic bag and put it out by 7am on your collection day.

Most charity shops take textiles and you may get a bag for this through your letterbox.

Tin foilTin foil

Tin foil cannot be recycled via the weekly kerbside collection service.

Tin foil can be recycled at your local Household Waste Recycling Centres, in the mixed can bank.

Toys and gamesToys and games

Toys and games, suitable for resale, can be taken to most charity shops.

TyresTyres

Tyres cannot be recycled via the weekly kerbside collection service.

Tyres should be returned to the garage where the tyre was fitted. It is the garages responsibility to safely dispose of these tyres.

Tyres can be taken to Halifax Household Waste Recycling Centre and Eastwood Household Waste Recycling Centre, but you can only take a maximum of four tyres per visit.
