The Regional Development Agency for Yorkshire and the Humber, was created in April 1999 with the mission of revitalising the region's economy by attracting investment and jobs into the region, funding community-based regeneration schemes to ensure opportunities for Yorkshire and the Humber's most deprived areas, increasing the availability of training for the region's workforce and promoting the whole region to the nation.
