Inspection and repair
Introduction
As a highway authority we are required to maintain our highways to standards that are equivalent to their status and use as set out in the Highways Act and Code of Practice for Highway Maintenance Management.
To ensure we achieve this, a team of Highway Inspectors carry out regular safety inspections at appropriate frequencies. Where necessary they utilise our Emergency Response Team, which can attend to dangerous defects or incidents within one hour.
