Cycling Action Plan for Calderdale
The aim of the Cycling Action Plan is to develop a strong cycling culture and integrate cycling into a sustainable transport system for Calderdale. The Plan is a working document that sets out objectives and realistic targets for cycling in the District and complements the West Yorkshire Cycling Strategy.

One of the key elements of the second West Yorkshire Local Transport Plan (LTP) is the encouragement of more walking and cycling in order to tackle traffic congestion, protect the local environment and improve people's health and quality of life.
