Local Development Framework

Core Strategy

The Core Strategy sets out the overall planning vision and framework for the district from 2011 to 2026 and beyond.

The Core Strategy plays a key part in the delivery of Calderdale's Sustainable Community Strategy by delivering all the parts that relate to spatial planning.

The Core Strategy includes an outline for delivering strategic development needs for Calderdale's future, including housing, employment, leisure and retail. All other Development Plan Documents must conform to the Core Strategy and the Core Strategy must conform to the Regional Spatial Strategy for Yorkshire & the Humber May 2008|External link
