Advertisement consent
If you want to erect advertising hoardings or put up illuminated signs, then it is likely that you will need to apply for permission from the Council. However, not all signage will require the submission of an application.
An explanatory booklet produced by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister can be obtained by contacting Development Control. The booklet entitled Outdoor Advertisements and Signs: A guide for advertisers|
can be viewed on the DCLG's web site.
Planning application forms and guidance notes can be downloaded plus more information is available by contacting Development Control .
