The Conservation Strategy sets out the aim and objectives of the Conservation Service, along with setting our priority work areas for the next few years to continue delivering an excellent service, while taking into account the current resource limitations.
The aim, objectives and priorities of this Conservation Strategy have been developed by the Conservation Team through extensive discussions with senior management; and by a steering group which comprises Council Officers and Councillors, and representatives from English Heritage.
After a public consultation, the Conservation Strategy and Action Plan was approved by Cabinet on 31st October 2011.
