We have been working closely with English Heritage to produce a Conservation Strategy, which sets out the aim and objectives of the service, along with setting our priority work areas for the next few years to continue delivering an excellent service, while taking into account the current resource limitations.

The aim, objectives and priorities of this Conservation Strategy have been developed by the Conservation Team over the last 12 months through extensive discussions with senior management; and by a steering group which comprises Council Officers and Councillors, and representatives from English Heritage.

Following the consultation period, all responses received will be considered in finalising the Strategy and responses will also feed into the production of a 3 year Action Plan which will be used to implement the Strategy.

The Conservation Strategy and Action Plan will then be taken to Cabinet for final approval.
