An opportunity is available for qualified level 3 Early Years Practitioners to join our dedicated staff team to cover the permanent post holder’s maternity leave. The successful applicant will take up the temporary position in March / April with dates to be arranged, the successful applicant will be committed and enthusiastic in providing a high quality provision for children aged 0-5 and will have up to date knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and will have some experience of leading / supervision of other staff.
Knowledge of Children’s Centre Services is essential.

Creations Community Children’s Centre is looking to appoint a part time Site Supervisor / Caretaker to join the Children’s Centre team, the successful applicant will be able to work early mornings and the ability to be flexible and work some evenings and weekends is essential to meet the needs of the Centre. The post holder will be responsible for the security of the building and carry out duties to ensure the Centre is compliant with all health and safety requirements. There will be daily cleaning responsibilities, maintenance tasks and responsibility for the stock control of cleaning and hygiene products and to order when necessary.

The prime objective of the post is to greet and welcome families and professionals using the Children’s Centres across North/East Halifax both face to face and by telephone. This post holder will be required to have a proactive approach to supporting children’s centres users through advise, guidance and assistance. To provide general administrative support to the Centre, which will include, but is not limited to, word processing, laminating documents, setting up and maintaining filing structures both electronic and manual, processing of incoming and outgoing mail, photocopying, faxing. To receive monies and record transactions accurately following appropriate procedures.
You will require to have a minimum of 3 GCSE’s of grade C and above and 1 years experience in a relevant customer focused environment. Good understanding of computer applications, particularly Microsoft office programmes. Previous experience of using a database package to input data.

The North Halifax Grammar School is looking to appoint a School Welfare Officer who will take responsibility for the physical and mental welfare of students and staff within the school. The successful applicant will provide a personal counselling service for students in accordance with appropriate codes of practice and standards. They will also take the lead within the school in the administration and monitoring of First Aid and medical provision.
The post holder will support the pastoral team and the school's PSCHEE programme, with particular regard to the personal counselling of students. They will have a relevant counselling qualification at Level 4 or equivalent and an appropriate current First Aid qualification. Experience of the education sector would be beneficial. The post is initially on a one year fixed term contract. The terms are: Term Time only, 25 hours per week, on the APT&C salary scale, SO1 –SO2 (£24,646.00 - £28,636.00) which equates to: £14, 563.37 - £16,921.07 per annum. Starting point dependent upon experience and qualifications.
