Passport to Leisure
English National Concessionary Pass

Holders of the English National Concessionary Pass (ENCP) are entitled to the same discounts as Passport to Leisure cardholders at many of the venues listed as this website. Whilst the ENCP can be used at all Calderdale Council run facilities, please check beforehand to see if it is accepted at non Calderdale Council facilities.
Who is eligible for an ENCP
In 2008 the Government introduced the English National Concessionary Pass giving certain eligible groups free off-peak bus travel in England.
- Eligible disabled
- Blind
- Older persons born before 5 April 1950 automatically qualify. If you were born after 5 April 1950, the age you become eligible is tied to new changes in the State Pension age for women. This affects both men and women. Please contact WY Metro or Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive for more information.

Where can I get an ENCP?
The ENCP is issued by the organisation which administers local concessionary travel schemes. In West Yorkshire this is WY Metro and passes can be applied for at any West Yorkshire Post Office or Bus Station Travel Centre. For more information about the ENCP scheme and to see whether you are entitled to a card, contact WY Metro (if you live in West Yorkshire) or your local provider if you live outside West Yorkshire.
