Teacher and support staff development
Continuing professional development
The Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme for 2009/10 has a wider range of courses than has been offered for many years and it builds upon the feedback we received last year.
We have included new courses as well as some old favourites and we have developed a range of longer programmes that are tailored to the needs of individual schools.
The CPD brochure contains training and development opportunities for leaders and managers, teachers and support staff; with relevant sections linked to Early Years, Primary and Secondary. Other sections support CPD opportunities for NQTs, leadership and management and teaching assistants.
As well as courses, networks and conferences, the School Improvement Teams have provided options of the type of in-house support schools might have tailor-made to suit their needs, matched to local, regional and national agendas.
Please note that for 2009/10 Calderdale is producing a separate Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) training manual. References to CPD, relevant to schools, appear in this brochure with more detailed information in the EYFS manual. Applications for this training should be made in the normal way using a CA1 application form.
Once again we have built upon the invaluable comments from teachers and schools across Calderdale.
