What is Family Learning?
Family Learning provides a range of opportunities for families in the widest sense (children, dads, mums, carers, grandparents) to learn together in order to raise skills across generations. These learning programmes take place in partnership with schools or other organisations such as children’s centres and local community learning centres. These enable families to learn in a relaxed and “fun” atmosphere, picking up ideas to reinforce learning with the children at home.
All Family Learning courses are free! These are just a few examples of the fun and interesting courses you can take part in:
- Family Art and Craft
- Family First Aid
- Maths and English
- Story Sacks
- Wacky Science
- Parenting.
All of our Family Learning courses are advertised directly through schools, children’s centres and other community learning venues, so look out for leaflets in your local centre.
