Wholemeal fruit bars

Dried fruit
"A chunky bar with sunflower seeds to give an extra crunch"

Ingredients

150g Wholemeal Self-Raising Flour
150g Hard Margarine
150g Dark Brown Sugar
200g Mixed Fruit
50g Oats
37g Sunflower Seeds
2 Eggs lightly beaten
13g extra Sunflower Seeds

Instructions

  1. Gently melt margarine and sugar in a large saucepan.
  2. Add flour, fruit, oats, 37g of sunflower seeds and the lightly beaten eggs. Mix well.
  3. Spread the mixture evenly in the tin, and sprinkle with the extra 13g sunflower seeds.
  4. Bake in a pre-heated oven for approximately 40 minutes on the middle shelf.
  5. Cool in the tin and cut into bars.
  6. The wholemeal fruit bars freeze well.
