Family services directory
Joining the directory
Any service that offers help and support to children and young people can be included in the directory. All agencies that provide us with information will be included in the directory, provided they have robust policies and procedures in place, covering the safeguarding of children, appropriate Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checks, and health and safety policies. If you would like your service to be added to the directory, contact the Families' Information Service:

Calderdale Council works in partnership with private, voluntary and independent organisations to improve the lives of children. We want to ensure all activity providers work in a safe way, regardless of whether activities are required to be registered with Ofsted or not. To assist activity providers in this process we have developed two toolkits which are available to download:
- Activity Providers Booklet [PDF file 621KB]|

Provides advice on registering with Ofsted, health and safety, employing staff and using volunteers, premises management and working with parents / carers. - Good Practice Booklet [PDF file 709KB]|

Contains advice on how to draw up robust policies and procedures within your organisation.
