Illingworth Community Children's Centre
Illingworth Community Children's Centre is situated in the heart of Illingworth on the grounds of Whitehill Community Primary School. The centre works in partnership with local schools, providers, health professionals and other agencies to ensure all children have the best possible start in life.
Illingworth Community Children's Centre provides services from this new purpose-built centre and, where appropriate, from other places within the community.
The centre prides itself on being community led and works in partnership with extended schools to meet the needs. Regular consultation will shape the services.
The following is a timetable of activities currently offered at Illingworth Community Children's Centre.

| Tuesday | Calderdale NHS Stop Smoking Service | 9.00 am to 12.00 pm | Calderdale NHS Stop Smoking Service are holding a session for people living in the area with children under the age of 5. If you would like free confidential advice please contact Lucy on 281505 |
| Wednesday | Antenatal Clinic | 9.00 am to 2.00 pm | Please contact the midwife team on 01422 251090 to book an appointment. |
| Wednesday | Breast Feeding Clinic | 10.00 am to 11.30 am | A drop in breast feeding group is being held every Wednesday. Anyone interested please just drop into the centre for friendly advice. |
| Wednesday | Buddy Bears stay and play session | 9.15 am to 11.15 am | Term time only. This is a fantastic opportunity for parents/carers to have fun and play with their children. £1.50 per family. Just turn up on the day (fruit and drink is provided). |
| Thursday | Well baby clinic | 9.30 am to 11.30 am | The well baby clinic is run by the Health Visitors every Thursday. For more information please contact the Health Visitors team on 240017 |
| Thursday | Baby Massage | A baby massage group is run by the Nursery Nurse for patients of Keighley Road Surgery. This is a great opportunity to further develop your bond with your baby. For more information or to book a place please contact Steph at Keighley Road Surgery on 240017 | |
| Friday | Baby Adventures | 1.15 pm to 2.45 pm | A new group is starting in December for 0 – 18 month old children. The group is a stay and play and will be running every week at a cost of £1.50 per family. This group is aimed at having fun playing with your baby whilst getting professional advice and support on weaning, breast feeding, sleeping patterns etc. Just drop in! |

Please note that Illingworth Community Children’s Centre will be open when services are offered at the centre as per the weekly activity list.

Training opportunities
We offer many different courses at our children's centre, for example first aid, story sacks, fun cooking sessions, confidence building, family arts and crafts. Contact the centre for further information.
