Adult Learning

Woman with books

There has never been a more important time to gain new skills and qualifications. By joining one of our workshops or courses we hope that you will have the opportunity to gain qualifications, broaden your career options, start an inspiring new hobby, improve your health and wellbeing, and gain confidence and social benefits through learning with others.

Learning takes place at Adult Learning Centres in Todmorden, Halifax and Brighouse, so you will not have far to travel. A variety of community organisations also provide adult learning throughout Calderdale. For more details on these organisations, see Where to learn in Calderdale [PDF file 437KB]|PDF file

The Learner Handbook provides access to all essential information to support you in your learning. If you have not received a copy, it can be downloaded here: Learner Handbook [PDF file 771KB]|PDF file

If you would like more information or advice, or you would like this information in another format (e.g. Braille, large print, audio type) contact us.

Learner Satisfaction Survey 2013-14

Each year the Skills Funding Agency (SFA) asks learners to take part in the National online Learner Satisfaction Survey. You will be asked to complete this survey between 18 November 2013 and 13 April 2014 if you have enrolled on a course with us this year. The survey is very short and should take only a few minutes to complete. It is your opportunity to help prospective learners make an informed decision on where to study.

You can access the survey by visiting Learner satisfaction survey|External link.
