Corporate Plan

The Corporate Plan focuses on what the Council plans to do to achieve our ambition for Calderdale - to make Calderdale a clean, safe, attractive and thriving area for individuals and families to enjoy as residents, workers or visitors. The Corporate Plan also demonstrates how the Council is supporting the Local Strategic Partnership, Calderdale Forward, to achieve the Futures Plan, which is the overarching Community strategy for Calderdale. The Corporate Plan focuses on six areas for service improvement, which we call corporate priorities:

1. Support and protect all Calderdale’s children, young people and their families and give them every opportunity to succeed.
2. Support vulnerable adults and promote independent living.
3. Promote healthy living and reduce health inequalities.
4. Create safer communities with lower crime levels, less fear of crime and safer roads.
5. Build strong local communities by celebrating our diversity and developing the capacity to live and work together.
6. Promote sustainable economic growth and respect for Calderdale’s heritage and develop a clean and attractive built and natural environment.

Progress against the targets is monitored quarterly and reported to Cabinet and Scrutiny.
