Up-to-date information about unforeseen disruptions to Council services and problems affecting Calderdale.

Winter Service Updates

Bins (inc recycling and waste)            

Refuse crews are working on the main roads only. Recycling crews are also out on the main roads but will not be able to collect boxes of glass / cans until the next collection day. Household Waste Recycling Centres are open as normal.

 

Roads (including gritting, salt bins and road closures)                  

All crews are out gritting major (precautionary) routes to keep them open and safe. Take extra care if you need to drive on untreated roads.

Home care

If your home care or day care service is disrupted due to adverse weather your home care / day care provider will call you or your representative to inform you of any changes to your care provision.

If you are concerned about your care provision please contact Gateway to Care on 01422 393000 between 8.45am and 5.30pm from Monday to Thursday, and 8.45am to 5pm on Friday.

 

Bereavement services

As normal. Operating as normal but please take extra care on the drive.

 

Council transport services

The Council’s minibus transport service is suspended today due to the forecast of continued snow showers.
