Description of activity
A list of the codes used to quantify Councillors' performance and the tasks and duties they relate to:

Research and administration (including reading, meeting preparation,
filing and Party Group meetings).
B
Communications (including telephone calls, correspondence and emails).
C
Council meetings (includes all Council, Cabinet, Scrutiny Panel and Committee
meetings, formal site visits and working parties).
D
Other meetings (includes Outside bodies, School Governors where appointed
to represent the Council, Seminars, Conferences and training).
E
Ward Work (includes surgeries, house calls, site meetings, public meetings,
dealing with queries and complaints and follow up work).
F
Travel (time spent travelling on Council business. Time spent doing other
activities (ie research) whilst travelling should be recorded under that
activity rather than as travel).
G
Sickness and holiday absence (time spent away from Council duties due to
sickness and holiday absence).
