Directorate structure

Under the Chief Executive's Office are six directorates
- Deputy Chief Executive's Office
- Children's and Young People's Services
- Economy and Environment
- Safer and Stronger Communities
- Adults, Health and Social Care
- Public Health (joint with the Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust).
The Chief Executive's Office is directly responsible for the following three service areas
- Finance
- Democratic and Partnership Services
- Halifax First.
Underneath the Deputy Chief Executive's Office are two service areas
- Human Resources
- Business Change and Performance Management.
Underneath the Children and Young People's Services directorate are five service areas
- Children's Social Care
- Family Support
- Children's Trust
- Learning
- Calderdale Challenge and BSF (Building Schools for the Future).
Underneath the Economy and Environment directorate are four service areas
- Highways and Engineering
- Regeneration
- Planning
- Housing and Environment.
Underneath the Safer and Stronger Communities directorate are three service areas
- Neighbourhoods and Community Engagement
- Customer Services and Communication
- Cultural Services.
Underneath the Adults, Health and Social Care directorate are three service areas
- Mental Health and Learning Disability (joint with the Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust)
- Well Being and Social Care
- Partnership Commissioning.
