Making complaints

Advocacy

When you make a complaint, you might feel you want somebody to help you. There are lots of different people you can ask.

If you want help to write a letter, or tell us about your complaint, any member of Council staff should help you.

If you have a Step 1 or 2 complaint: the Head of Service or somebody working for them should be able to help you.

If you have a Step 3 complaint: you can speak to the Chief Executive's Office for help.

You might also want to speak to your local Councillor. If you are not sure who this is, the Ward map can help.

Finally, you might want help from another organisation like the Citizens Advice Bureau.
