Broadband provision
The Government is making funding available to improve broadband speed and coverage. To make sure Calderdale benefits from this initiative, we need to know, from you, the type and quality of internet service you currently experience.
Budget consultation
Over the next three years, Calderdale Council will have £55 million pounds less to spend. Further savings are required and your views on the proposed budget for 2012/13 to 2014/15 are welcomed.
Calderdale Citizens' Panel
The Council's Citizens' Panel currently consists of over 1600 randomly selected people, who receive surveys on a range of issues related to Council services and residents' priorities. Newsletters are provided with each survey, detailing the results of previous surveys and how we have responded to the Panel's views.

Dog control orders
The consultation on the proposed dog control orders ended 11 November 2011. The Council received over 850 responses to the questionnaire and all comments will be considered before any recommendations are made.
Library facilities review
The Council values its libraries highly and wants to continue providing the best possible service. However, as part of wider efficiency measures affecting every aspect of its work, the Council has been reviewing the Library Service.

An opportunity for residents to share their views on the Piece Hall transformation.
Proposed new library and archive
The Council is proposing to build a new library and archive adjacent to the Piece Hall, Halifax and is seeking opinions on what the new facility should include.
Reduced speed limit in Elland
To reduce the number of road casualties, there is a proposal to change the speed limit to 20 miles per hour in certain areas of Elland and West Vale.
Ward forums
Ward Forums provide an opportunity for you to have your say. Hosted by Calderdale Councillors, forums are held regularly throughout the borough and give you the chance to have your say about what is important to you.
