Budget consultation

The cuts in Government expenditure mean that local councils will have less money to spend on services. The Council is seeking your views on which services should be reduced, or cut entirely, so that the books balance.

Calderdale Citizens' Panel

The Council's Citizens' Panel currently consists of over 1600 randomly selected people, who receive surveys on a range of issues related to Council services and residents' priorities. Newsletters are provided with each survey, detailing the results of previous surveys and how we have responded to the Panel's views.

Joint strategic needs assessment

Calderdale Council and Calderdale Primary Care Trust are working closely together to improve our understanding of the future health and well-being needs of the District’s residents, with the aim of improving services through joint commissioning.

Leader or Elected Mayor

The Council needs to choose a new way of taking decisions that affect us all. The Government says that by May 2010 we should choose one of two new ways of running the Council. Have your say

Ward Forums are a new way to have your say. Hosted by Calderdale Councillors, forums are held regularly throughout the borough and give you the opportunity to have your say about what is important to you.
