Results

The results of the Stakeholder responses to the Todmorden Town Centre Development Brief showed that the majority of people accepted the Development Brief in its proposed form with only a few minor caveats. 95% of respondants shared a reaction to the brief that CMBC had 'got it right' or 'largely got it right.'

Over 350 people attended the various public events over the consultation period. Responses were recieved from 20% of those attending with 65% agreeing that CMBC had got the proposals right.

Actions Taken

The results of the consultation phase were reviewed internally and the brief was amended accordingly in order that it encompassed the bulk of the responses / suggestions made to enhance the brief before it was put before Cabinet for formal approval. This has since now happened & the brief has been formally approved.
