82% of respondents thought this new service sounded a good idea with 30% saying they know someone who would have benefitted from this service had it been available earlier.

a. Temporarily live in a care home where staff provide care and meals 24 hours a day 17.9%

b. Temporarily live somewhere that resembles your own home setting , for example an independent apartment where care and support comes to you when needed 74.3%

c. Stay in hospital until you are able to go home or find somewhere new to live 7.8%

75% of respondents said they would also like to see this type of provision available for self-funded respite.
