54 responses from differing sized organisations (both in turnover and amount of paid staff/ volunteers), as part of consultation also held 6 drop in sessions around the borough and received more indepth information about potential ways to meet savings target and work differently. Some clear messages about need and delivery which will be used to inform the voluntary sector infrastructure contract. Groups identified the need for different levels of grant funding and in particular the importance of smaller grants for grass roots organisations - this was a standard message across the board, the larger organisations who would not qualify for current Small Grants Scheme reiterated it's importance

Actions Taken

The results from the consultation have informed proposals for the Voluntary Sector Commissioning Programme for 2015- 2018. A report will be taken to Cabinet on 11th August to request agreement of proposals set out to meet savings target and deliver the services required.
