Teenage parents in education

Introduction

Finding out that you or your partner is pregnant can be a confusing time for any student. You may feel the need to discuss the practicalities of achieving your educational targets and still being a successful parent.

In Calderdale we make every effort to look at your individual needs as a student whilst at the same time take a sensitive, holistic approach to the issues of young parents.

We support inclusion by helping you to make important decisions about how to continue with your education. You are offered Teenage Parents in Education support during the remainder of your statutory schooling by helping you to achieve your Key Stage targets, including the GCSE examinations, whenever realistically possible.
