Park rangers
Introduction
Park Rangers provide a high profile patrol service within the parks and cemeteries in the Borough, helping to make your visit a safe and enjoyable one.
Their services include:
- mobile patrols of parks and cemeteries to provide a safe environment for visitors
- providing information to visitors to our parks
- liaising with local wildlife groups
- liaising with local community groups and other like-minded bodies to help address issues and potential problems as they arise
- assisting local youth groups
- assisting Community Wardens with projects
- arranging removal of graffiti in parks, see graffiti removal helpline
- arranging removal of abandoned vehicles in parks
- providing advice about byelaws regarding dog fouling, fly tipping and so on
- reporting misuse of motorbikes in parks and on open spaces
- reporting incidents of antisocial behaviour.
