Wordprocessing facilities

Calderdale Libraries offer free access to Microsoft Office at a number of Libraries:

• Central Library, Halifax
• Hebden Bridge
• Hipperholme
• Northowram
• Sowerby Bridge
• Todmorden.

You can book a session in person or by telephoning the library most convenient for you.

Floppy disks

If you wish to save and take away the work you have done in the Library, you can buy floppy disks from the Library staff. Disks cost £1.00.

We are happy for you to bring your own floppy disk holding work done elsewhere. If you do bring in a floppy, it is very important that you give this to the library staff when you arrive so they can check it does not contain a virus.

If you wish to keep a copy of your work, be sure to save your work to a floppy disk. We regularly delete files from the hard drives.

Printing material

All the public-access computers are linked to printers. Printing costs 10p for every sheet you print.
