Internet access

Calderdale Libraries have over 175 computers offering free public access to the Internet, these are spread across all service points.

  • obtain free access to a number of subscription-only websites
  • use e-mail to keep in touch with friends and family
  • make printouts for 10p per sheet
  • use Microsoft Office for wordprocessing.

To book a PC

You can book a session in person, using your library card and PIN, or by telephoning the library most convenient for you. See Your local library .

People's Network

Calderdale Libraries takes part in the People's Network: Enquire service from the People's Network|External link.

Participating libraries offer a free, live question and answer service available 24 hours a day, every day. It works like instant messaging or chat room technology, allowing you to put questions to trained staff who can help you, just as they would if you were talking to them face-to-face or on the telephone.
