Services

Internet and Computing

Calderdale Libraries have over 175 computers offering public access to the Internet, these are spread across all service points.

These computers have been provided through a lottery-funded government programme, the People's Network|External link Enquire service.

From 6th June 2011, use of People's Network PCs in all Calderdale libraries will attract a charge, if customers wish to surf the Internet or work on documents for over one hour per day. For more details of how much it will cost, see Fees and charges.

At our libraries you can:

You can book a session in person, using your library card and PIN, or by telephoning Your local library .

People's Network

Calderdale Libraries takes part in the Enquire service from the People's Network|External link .

Participating libraries offer a free, live question and answer service available 24 hours a day, every day. It works like instant messaging or chat room technology, allowing you to put questions to trained staff who can help you, just as they would if you were talking to them face-to-face or on the telephone.
