Joining the library

Introduction

If you live, work or study in Calderdale, joining the library will give you access to a wealth of information and culture. It may just be the smartest move you make today and there is no charge to join.

There are no age-limits. Parents may register newborn babies. Everyone can join online, but if you are under 16 we need the name and address of a parent or carer.

Once you are a member you can borrow and return most items to any library or library access point in Calderdale. Your PIN will allow you to access services over the Internet, including requesting items of stock and renewing items you have already borrowed.

In becoming a member of Calderdale Libraries, you agree to observe the following conditions:

• You will inform Calderdale Libraries of changes to your name, address or other contact detail
• You agree to abide by the Library's Bylaws and the Acceptable Usage Policy.
