Larger grants

About larger grants

All larger grants are awarded before the start of the financial year, so all funding for 2011/12 is now fully allocated.

Calderdale Council is setting up a new funding programme, Safer and Stronger Communities Voluntary Sector Commissioning 2012 - 2015, to support the kind of work that the voluntary sector does. In particular, we are going to fund work that supports the outcomes and priorities of the Safer and Stronger Communities Directorate. We have identified some areas of work we want to fund and different ways we want to fund it. These are set out on this site.

The closing dates for completed applications to the schemes to support the cultural objectives, preventative projects or advice services have now passed and we will not be accepting any further applications. A report will be submitted to Cabinet early in the New Year (2012). Once this report becomes publicly available it will be published on this website.

The current funding agreement to support infrastructure services for a thriving voluntary sector, including promoting Big Society approaches, asset transfer and volunteering lasts until 31 March 2013. We won't be asking for bids for this service until later in 2012. If you are interested in adding your name to our mailing list to receive information about this programme, email grants@calderdale.gov.uk any time before summer 2012.

Once awards have been made a list of successful applicants will also be published.

We are still accepting applications to the Small Grants Scheme for up to £3,000.

Any funding that becomes available in the future for new applications through the larger funding streams will be advertised on this web site. A letter will also be sent to all of the organisations on our database to notify them of any new funding.

To make sure that your organisation is on the list to receive information about this and other funding opportunities:
