Equality and diversity in procurement

Introduction

Calderdale Council expects any supplier or contractor doing business with the Council to share it's commitment to equality of opportunity, and to operate in a non-discriminatory manner.

The 'Passport to Equality and Diversity in Procurement' has been launched to help both potential and existing suppliers understand how they can meet our expectations and requirements. The Passport consists of two elements:

1. Statement of commitment  -  supplier and contractors should print and complete this docuement when tendering.
2. Standard for equality and diversity in procurement - a template identifying ways in which suppliers can further evidence their commitment. This is required for selected contracts.
