Sexual orientation
The Employment Equality (Sexual Orientation) came into force in December 2003; it became unlawful to discriminate against workers because of sexual orientation. The Regulations also cover providers of vocational training.
Calderdale Council will not discriminate directly or indirectly on the grounds of sexual orientation.
Civil Partnership Ceremony
A Civil Partnership Ceremony is a meaningful and dignified ceremony for adult couples of same sex. The purpose of the ceremony is to make a public declaration of life-long commitment, love and dedication between two people. Civil Partnership Register .
