Employment monitoring statistics
The Council has a legal obligation to monitor its workforce in order to meet the employment duties of the Race Relations Act 1976 (amended 2000) and in order to meet the requirements of new equality legislation. We will produce and publish these statistics each year in accordance with our statutory duties.
Workforce Profile Brief Description
The Workforce Profile has been created to gather all the workforce data for Calderdale Council. It will identify the key facts and issues to be addressed in the short and medium term in order to ensure we are able to respond to the future needs of the community. This document will be produced each year and will include information from previous years to demonstrate trends in relation to our workforce profile.
The profile provides information on a wide range of workforce, financial and business planning issue in 'quantative' terms and cover the following areas:
- Employee Numbers
- Gender
- Ethnicity
- Disability
- Employee Age
- Salary
- Employee Turnover
- Leavers – including early leavers
- New Starters
- Employees who live and work in Calderdale
- Recruitment
- Learning & Development
- Internal Promotions, Career Grade Advances, Secondments and Acting Up
- Length of Service
- Sickness Absence
