The Federation is operated by market traders for market traders and was formed as it was felt there was a need to represent collectively the interest of market traders.

The National Market Traders Federation (NMTF)  provides advice and information on any aspect of markets and market trading and helps individual traders by uniting them with fellow traders to achieve things they could not achieve alone. NMTF provides members with all the business insurance they need and represents traders on a local, national and international level with the aim of enhancing the industry and preserving the livelihoods of its members.
