Charity Stall
The council maintains a "Charity Stall" at each market site, which is available on a specific day each week.
The stall is available free of charge to registered local charities and local branches of national charities, amateur sporting and local organisations.
Bookings for this facility (on a "first come - first served" basis) can be made by contacting the relevant market office, in person, by phone, by fax, by email or by letter.
Once a date has been agreed for you to stand, you must confirm the booking in writing on the charity's headed paper.
Please note that some commodities and the holding of a raffle regrettably cannot be allowed without the appropriate licence.
The Markets Service also maintains the "Mayors Charity Stall" outside Northgate House, Halifax on a Friday and Saturday each week. The stall is available at a charge of £20 to registered local charities and local branches of national charities. Bookings for this facility (on a "first come - first served" basis) can be made by contacting the relevant market office, in person, by phone, by fax or by letter.
To find out the availability of the charity stall telephone 01422 359034 or e-mail: markets@calderdale.gov.uk.
