Adult Learning

Adult learning is provided through Calderdale Council and delivered by the Calderdale Adult Learning (CAL) Service. The Service provides courses for adults in Arts and Crafts, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Modern Foreign Languages, Health and Safety, Personal Care, Preparation for Life and Work including Literacy, Numeracy, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and provision for adults with learning difficulties and disabilities. CAL also offers Family Learning through partnership arrangements with local schools and children's centres.

Markets Office

The Council's Markets Office deals with all enquiries about indoor and outdoor markets in Calderdale.

The Registration service is responsible for:

It also provides a certificate service for those requiring a current record of a birth, death, marriage or civil partnership which has taken place in Calderdale in addition to those who are tracing their family tree. Registration records began on 1 July 1837 and the Register Office archives hold all the registers completed in the constituent parts of Calderdale since that date.
