We have the powers to deal with dangerous buildings and structures where there is an imminent risk to public safety.

Out of office hours

If you have concerns regarding a dangerous building or structure during an evening, overnight, at the weekend or during a bank holiday and you believe there to be an imminent risk to public health, you may report the situation by contacting the Council's Emergency Office on telephone 01422 288000.

Securing empty properties

If you are worried about an unsecured building, where children might play, or an open building that has become the focus for inappropriate or antisocial behaviour, let us know at the earliest opportunity:

Report a dangerous building to seal up the accessible parts of the building to help preserve public safety.
