Early intervention support

Raising a family is the most important job that you can do. The rewards are great but it can be very challenging along the way. At some point, you may need some extra help. We’re here for you! Early Intervention Support Teams are here to help and support you no matter how big or small your problem.

Education welfare

The Education Welfare Team provides a channel of communication between home and school and between parents and the local authority. Includes information and guidance on attendance, bullying, exclusions, education at home, holidays in term time, entertainment licences, work permits and employment of children guidelines.

Free school meals

School children of parents or carers who receive support payments may be eligible for free school meals.

Looked After Children Education Service (LACE)

The Virtual School (Looked after Children Education Service) is a multi-disciplinary support service for Calderdale Looked After Children, schools and carers.

Parent Partnership Service

The Parent Partnership Service is a statutory, independent service which provides information, advice and support to parents of children aged 3 to 19 with special educational needs.
